Registered Provisional Psychologist

Pronouns (She/Her/Hers)

Hi, I’m Tania! I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology. During my schooling, I found my passion in working with youth and young adults inthe counseling room. I know what it is like to be at these formative stages in life, and I want to help provide clarity, guidance, and support in this time. There is a profound impact that the positive changes made during these years have on the trajectory of one’s life. We are all finding our way in this world, and my goal is to help others find out who they want to be, where they want to be, and how they can get there.

I offer a relatable, empathetic, and warm approach in therapy. I like to provide psychoeducation on emotion regulation, habit formation, and that complicated thing we call the brain. I believe the therapeutic bond between a client and their therapist is one of the most important factors in therapy, so I strive to provide a safe and comfortable space where youth can truly be themselves. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative therapy, and I find this mix of approaches helps address both the scientific and artsy parts of our brain. Of course, no approach is one-size-fits-all, so this is something I will work on together with my client to tailor therapy to their best fit.

The areas that I work in include anxiety, depression, healthy relationships, emotional regulation, self-esteem, life transitions, and others. I am also passionate about working with BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of colour) individuals in their quest to navigate their dual-identity and manage culturally specific stressors.

What I enjoy most in the world is traveling and exploring different cultures. I am always planning my next trip! I also nerd out on Nintendo games, and love to bake, create art, and experiment with makeup. For self-care I enjoy skincare, at-home spa days, and nature walks.

I look forward to meeting you!
