thrive master’s Intern Program


Thrive Teen Therapy holds the belief that supporting graduate level counsellors is an essential component in advancing the future of the counselling profession. Thrive offers internship opportunities for 4-5 graduate students completing their masters degree in counselling, psychology or social work. Our master’s intern program provides students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in providing counselling services to teens, young adults, children and their families. Thrive Teen Therapy’s learning environment offers the opportunity to conduct both individual and group counselling sessions under the supervision of a team of experienced and skilled Licensed Therapists.

Graduate interns provide valuable service to clients with reduced-rate counselling in the areas of teen depression, teen anxiety, grief and loss, LGBTQ2S+ support, healthy relationships & friendships, family issues & life transitions, overwhelming emotions, and coping skills.

Thrive Teen Therapy provides superior clinical experience, supervision, and professional development opportunities to their graduate students to ensure the highest level of care and service to clients. Graduate students who have completed their clinical requirements with Thrive Teen Therapy have attended the following post-secondary education institutions:

THRIVE MASTER’S INTERN PROGRAM 2025

  • Highly skilled supervisors with strong experience and passion in helping to train new therapists

  • Supervision includes dydadic, individual, group supervision and peer support with other interns

  • Includes provided, free modality trainings in DBT, ACT, MI, CBT, EFFT, Somatic Experiencing and Suicide Risk Assessment

  • Includes additional provided trainings in the areas of ADHD, neurodivergence, LGBTQ2S+ youth and self harm
