Thrive interns have completed their master’s degree coursework and are in the last stages of their training, prior to receiving their license as a clinical counsellor or provisional psychologist.
Thrive interns are closely supervised by a team of experienced psychologists, counsellors and supervisors on the Thrive team.
While most insurance plans do not cover student interns, there are some plans that do offer intern coverage, under the supervision of a psychologist. Please check with your individual provider and plan. Direct billing is not available for student interns
Thrive offers Jordan’s Principle Indigenous counselling coverage will all of our therapists (please call regarding this option)

Hi, I'm Jaslyn, an educator and counsellor with over 10 years of experience working with children and youth of all ages in various educational settings. I also have significant experience working with neurodivergent youth and specific issues around body image, friendship and family conflict and anxiety. I hold a Master's degree in Education and am currently pursuing a Master's in Counselling, a field where I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge and practical experience. I am a certified teacher and love to work wtih both young children and teens, ages 4-24.
As a counsellor, I hope to offer trust, respect, kindness, and compassion to create a brave and collaborative relationship. Instilling cultural safety is fundamental to my approach, ensuring a supportive environment for individuals and their families. I believe in tailoring treatment to the unique needs of each individual. I have significant experience working with neurodivergent children and youth.
My practice is deeply rooted in research, as I believe in the power of evidence-based approaches to empower you with the necessary knowledge and tools
I enjoy staying active with Pilates, spending time with family and friends, travelling, and reading. My greatest source of inspiration comes from adolescents and youth. Their boundless energy, fresh perspectives, and resilience daily teach me invaluable life lessons.
