MHT’s practice unlicenced and may not be reimbursable through insurance.
Thrive MHT’s have recently graduated from their Master’s Degree Program and are in the licensing process. This process can take 6-8 months. Once they receive their license, their rates will increase to standard licensed therapist rates.
While most insurance plans do not cover MHT’s, there are some plans that do offer coverage, under the supervision of a licensed therapist. Please check with your individual provider and plan. Direct billing is not available for MHT’s.

Hi, my name is Abby and I am a Mental Health Therapist currently completing my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. I am passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults and helping them achieve growth.
I believe that everyone has an unlimited number of strengths within themselves. Collaborative with my clients, I love to explore these strengths to exemplify how strong they are. I meet my clients where they are at and tailor the therapeutic experience to meet their needs and goals.
The areas that I work in include anxiety, depression & low motivation, healthy relationship, emotional regulation, behaviour management, self-esteem & confidence, and grief & loss. I have extensive experience and knowledge in working with indigenous youth.
When not in the office, you can find me hiking, weightlifting, playing disc golf, or going on a nice walk with my long-bodied, four-legged best friend, Axl! I also find great peace in painting and beading.
